Privacy Policy
Last updated: March 1, 2026
Your privacy is fundamental to how we built MuteHint. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and how we protect it.
1. Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly to us, such as your name, email address, and payment information when you create an account or subscribe to our services.
We also collect usage data including session metadata (duration, type, frequency), feature usage, and performance metrics. We do not collect, store, or transmit audio or video from your calls.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to provide, maintain, and improve our services, process transactions, send transactional and promotional communications, and respond to your requests.
We use session metadata to improve AI model performance and provide you with usage analytics in your dashboard.
3. Data We Never Collect
MuteHint is built on a privacy-first architecture. We never store audio recordings of your calls. We never store video recordings or screenshots of your screen. AI processing happens in real-time and data is immediately discarded after generating a response.
4. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information with third-party service providers who assist us in operating our platform (payment processors, cloud infrastructure), subject to confidentiality obligations.
We may disclose information when required by law or to protect our rights.
5. Data Security
We implement industry-standard security measures including TLS 1.3 encryption for data in transit, AES-256 encryption for data at rest, and SOC 2 compliant infrastructure. API keys you provide are encrypted and never stored in plain text.
6. Your Rights
You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal information at any time. You may request a copy of your data or ask us to delete your account by contacting support@mutehint.com.
If you are in the EU/EEA, you have additional rights under GDPR including data portability and the right to object to processing.
7. Cookies
We use essential cookies to operate our service (authentication, session management) and analytics cookies to understand how users interact with our platform. You can control cookie preferences through our Cookie Policy page.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via email or a prominent notice on our website. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
